You know what it is like, you book in and there at the counter is the many many leaflets telling you all about the area and the local tourist attractions.

Well as hubby and I are well past our sell-by date to go clubbing and raving, we now resort to visiting the gardens and houses that are open for viewing.  Sightseeing is more on our list of things to do now and not the raving it up in some club or bar as we did when we were a lot lot younger… oh those were the days.  And the youngsters of today think we never enjoyed ourselves… I can tell you we did.

With so many choices and only 7 days to fit everything in, we decided that we would do the Sub-Tropical gardens as we can then drive just a mile or so to see the Swannery.  Photos of  our visit to the swannery are here.

So off we went and what a pleasurable view of the gardens we saw.  To walk around and see the beauty of the plants and the tranquillity of the surroundings was pure enjoyment and so relaxing.

The Sub-Tropical gardens are stunning and if you lived locally to see these gardens in all the four seasons would be wonderful, just to see how they change from one season to another.

Oh yes it has got our thinking caps on, the pace of life is slow and peaceful, and we are seriously debating whether now is the time to move to an area we have taken a liking to.  A place where life is a steady pace and you are not part of the rat-race.

You can guess we are both, googling and deciding whether to rent for the time being before making the final move to Devon or Dorset.
