Well our holiday was a spur of the moment decision.  There we were sitting there and undecided what to do for the forthcoming week as hubby decided to take some time off of work, when we decided just to book a week in Dorset/Devon.

Of course, we delegated dog duty to son, who has no control over Bo whatsoever.  Whatever son says, Bo does the opposite.  We would have taken him, dog not son, with us, but he is getting old now and Devon is too long in the car for him and he would not be able to cope with the additional walking as his joints are now playing up. 

Anyway up we packed and headed for Dorset to a holiday park, that was central to both Devon and Dorset.

On one of our days out, we decided to go to Abbotsbury, where we strolled around the Tropical gardens and then drove on to see the swans at the Swannery situated in Abbotsbury.

At the swannery you can walk amongst through a colony of nesting mute swans and it is breathtaking to watch them and see the signets that are just learning to fly.

As you walk around the paths you encounter the swans as they walk along the paths with you.  Purely breathtaking.

A great day out for children and families in general especially if you visit the tropical gardens nearby.
